Building our home with Build 7 Christchurch was an experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! Jamie, Fran and the contracting crew were a fantastic, friendly, and professional team. Being clients who work within the industry we knew what we were looking for in a build team. We admit that we were very particular in terms of the expected results but, Build 7 Christchurch were the perfect match.

We first presented our plans to Jamie and Fran in January 2015. From the outset, we were impressed with the professionalism and understanding that they offered. We felt a sense of family, trust and comfort from our first meeting. The communication was easy and efficient, contractual terms and pricing matters were an open book.

We knew right from the beginning that Build 7 Christchurch were the right team for us.

The sales approach was unforced and the decisions that we needed to make were well explained with all options clearly described to us. Product choices and specifications were flexible with all of our choices being readily available and accepted. Jamie was very well educated on all of our specified products and had a fantastic ability to quickly source information required for product detail and pricing. This in itself was quite different to other businesses that we had initially considered where the spec level was limited by their own associations).

We made the decision to confirm the works with Jamie and Fran, after which the fantastic service we had received throughout the contract process continued. Jamie hosted an on-site meeting where we met the contractors and site foreman. We were equally impressed with their professional appearance and communication-

As the build progressed communications continued between all contractors, Jamie and ourselves. We were included in all key communications which kept us abreast of any delays (of which there were very few), and were always made aware in plenty of time regarding any questions of layout to confirm that what we intended was interpreted correctly. This, for us was a very important part of the process, as despite having had plans professionally completed by an architect, there were elements that required practical adjustment on site.

The building site was always immaculate, rubbish was collected and placed, floors were swept, timbers and products were neatly stacked and secured. From the very beginning of the build, the site was respected as were existing structures (fences, signage, street frontages etc.)

Final inspections were completed & the project delivered on time, in full and on budget. Our Build 7 home is a complete standout of quality and care.

We would proudly and whole heartedly recommend build 7 Christchurch to anyone who is considering a new home and certainly look forward to our next project with Jamie, Fran and the team. We are extremely proud to say that we built with Build 7 and display our photos and experiences at any opportunity. Never thought we would build another home. Right from the start, Jamie made building process really simple - nothing was a problem. After building 4 previous homes I knew from day 1 that this build was going to be easy. Communication was the key. Build 7 Christchurch were very professional and nothing was a problem. From the get go we decided that communication was a very important part of the build process and it quickly became apparent that Build7 were on the same page. Within 3 days of meeting Jamie for the first time we had a quote and basic plan in our hands. He was understanding of our budget constraints and was excellent at coming up with alternatives to make our ideas come to life. There are no hidden agendas or costings with Build7, all contractor quotes were provided to us. We really appreciated this as it made us feel comfortable that we were not being taken for ride, which we know is something that can happen for first time builders.
We signed up with Build 7 and were quickly introduced to the rest of the team whose communication was just as good as Jamie's. We had fulfilling and helpful meetings with everyone, from colour consultants through to electricians. Each and everyone of them taking as much pride in their work as Build7 did.
We broke ground in September. The build process and communication continued to be absolutely seamless from this point on as we were able to move into our house within 15 weeks; 1 month ahead of schedule. We had regular site meetings throughout the process to ensure we were always fully informed, and if we had any questions about what was going on Jamie was always happy to respond.
As first home buyers we feel very lucky to have come across Build7. They went above and beyond throughout the whole experience, including pushing to get us in to our house just before Christmas. Thanks to Build7 we now have a beautiful home and cannot recommend these guys more highly. We can't wait to build another home with Build7 in the future.
