John (whose mates call him Jack) first discovered his love for building in a high school wood work class, where some might say, he was something of a 'teachers pet'. Jack graduated top of the class and was offered an apprenticeship, which he was only too happy to take up.
Jack learnt his craft from an 'old school builder' and much of the cutting was done with a hand saw. Every screw, nail and cut had to be perfect, and if it wasn't, it had to be done again. During his apprenticeship, Jack worked on a broad range of projects from high end architectural builds, to renovations and leaky home repairs. These projects provided him with a broad level of experience and gave him the confidence to start his own company.
John Ross Architectural Builders was formed early in 2011, and quickly grew a reputation for their good natured service and quality workmanship. The company's first big job was a 3 million dollar church build, of which the carpentry package was left entirely to Jack and his team. Despite feeling like they'd 'bitten off more than they could chew' the job ran superbly and they ended up building two more!
Six years later and Jack says his passion for building is stronger than ever, "We want to be known for doing the best jobs, for the best people in the country".
