Sinclair Builders was established in 2009 and we are a medium size building company based in Christchurch servicing the Canterbury region. We specialise in all aspects of residential to light commercial construction, ranging from minor maintenance/alterations/renovations through to architectural designed new homes building approx. 15 – 20 new homes per year. We recently won 8 awards from the Master Builders House of the Year awards, taking out 2 silvers, 3 golds and winning 2 local categories’ and 1 national category.
We are a member of the Registered Master Builders Association and are licensed building practitioners, you can be rest assured your home is being built or renovated by qualified builders. We are an accredited main contractor for Fletchers Construction, Hawkins Construction, Vero Insurance, Arrow/Southern Response, Stream Group and EQC to carry out earthquake repairs/rebuild.
Our director, Chris Sinclair has developed strong relationships with a range of local Canterbury sub-contractors who he trusts will deliver the same high standard of quality on his jobs. Chris is passionate about building and enjoys all of the challenges and satisfaction the trade brings. Chris will work alongside you to make sure everything you expect is to your satisfaction. Every job, regardless of cost, size or difficulty is finished to his high standards.

The team at Sinclair Builders have undertaken a number of projects for us over the past 12 months. They have completed a large hardwood deck as well as undertaking a number of “odd jobs” around our property. It was at near completion stage when I first saw and fell in love with it.
I couldn’t have chosen the fixtures and fittings any better myself and for me the piece de resistance was the kitchen, the home cooks dream.
When the property was completed I found everything finished to perfection – the joinery, tiling, the painting, the cabinetry, light fittings, the fencing, driveway, paths and the lawns and garden set up.
Any problems or issues I had in the months to follow were quickly addressed.
